Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a parent, a social worker, and a steadfast believer that love wins. Since 2011, I’ve been on the front lines—in schools supporting students from kindergarten to super-duper seniors, in clinics and community mental health settings, in one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the U.S., and in university classrooms as a community faculty member at the University of Minnesota. I’ve served on the state’s Subcommittee on Children’s Mental Health, and I’ve spoken across the country as a presenter, trainer, and human being committed to building a more just, vibrant, and compassionate world.
My philosophy of teaching is simple: it should matter.
Training and development must be timely, relevant, and impactful—and they should also spark the imagination. Whether I’m collaborating with an organization or designing a session independently, I start with a core idea and work to communicate it with grace, honesty, and passion.
I won’t read slides at you. I won’t drown you in walls of text. I will design and deliver clear, engaging experiences that resonate long after we part ways.
Since 2017, I’ve worked with parent groups, educators, medical professionals, licensed clinicians, foster and adoptive families, and more. I’ve spoken on topics ranging from clinical supervision, ethics, and implicit bias to collaborative problem solving, adoption in the classroom, and supporting system-involved families. Audiences have ranged from three to 300, both in person and online.
Whatever the topic. Whatever the format.
I bring heart, rigor, and originality to every talk, workshop, and training I offer. My goal isn’t just to inform, it’s to create lasting impact and meaningful change.
