I am a parent, a social worker, and fervent believer that love wins. Since 2011, I have worked the front lines in schools with students from kindergarten to super-duper seniors, as a clinician in private and community practice, as a social worker in one of the largest pediatric medical systems in the United states, as community faculty at the University of Minnesota, as a member of the Children’s Subcommittee on Children’s Mental Health, and as a presenter, trainer, and human being committed to creating a more vibrant, just and compassionate world.
I believe that training and development should be timely, relevant, and impactful. It should also capture your imagination. When I design a training, whether in collaboration with an organization or independently, I start with an idea and work to convey that idea with grace, with honesty, and with passion.
I will not spend an hour reading slides to you. I will not bombard you with walls of text. I will create and deliver for you concise, engaging events that your attendees will be discussing long after our time together ends.
Since 2017, I have spoken to parent groups, school communities, medical professionals, licensed social workers, adoptive and foster communities, and more. I have covered topics including ethics, bias, clinical supervision, collaborative problem solving, adoption in the classroom, supporting system-involved families, and so many more. I have presented to audiences from 3-300 people, both in person and online.
Whatever the topic. Whatever the format. I stand behind my promise to deliver one-of-a-kind workshops, talks and trainings that will create and sustain buzz within your organization or community.
